After months of anticipation, a new high ropes course in the Lehigh Valley is set to open Friday afternoon.
HangDog Outdoor Adventure plans to open at 2 p.m. Friday (Aug. 11) at 410 Cedarville Road in Williams Township.
The ropes course offers a climbing adventure, owner Mike McCreary said in a news release, from more than 100 climbing elements, a giant swing 45 feet above the ground, a free fall jump, two 240-foot zip lines and a kid’s course.
The 3.7-acre site, next to Phantom Fireworks off Interstate 78, will also feature a lights show, craft beer garden, gourmet food truck, cafe, and live music venue.
Visitors pay for the ropes course, but do not need to pay an entry fee to watch or go to the HangDog Café and Dog Park Beer Garden.
The “Big Dogs” course is for ages 8 and up and costs $59.95 per person, and the “Pups” course for kids ages 5-7 costs $29.95 per person. Climbing can be booked here.
The course plans to be open until November, weather permitting, and will re-open in April.
