The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill UNC women’s tennis team, defeated the Charleston Southern Buccaneers 4-0 Friday night in inaugural round of NCAA action at Chewning Tennis Center. The Tar Heels will face Old Dominion at 4 p.m.
today afternoon at the Chewning Tennis Center for a spot in next week’s Super Regional round. To start the day, the doubles pairing of Elizabeth Scotty and Carson Tanguilig mustered a quick 6-0 victory on court three to give the Tar Heels the doubles lead.
Moments later, Reese Brantmeier and Reilly Tran won 6-2 to clinch the doubles point for North Carolina. In singles, Reilly Tran made quick work of court six. Tran won decisively, 6-0, 6-1 to give UNC a 2-0 lead. In No. 2 singles, No.
1 ranked Fiona Crawley extended UNC’s lead to 3-0 after winning 6-1, 6-0. The Tar Heels clinched the game as Abbey Forbes put together an impressive 6-2, 6-0 win on court four. Reese Brantmeier, Carson Tanguilig and Elizabeth Scotty’s games all went unfinished.
North Carolina takes on the Old Dominion Monarchs tomorrow afternoon for a spot in next week’s Super Regional round.

About the UNC
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, also known as UNC, is a public university in Chapel Hill in the US state of North Carolina.
